If you are an international corporation enjoying huge profits which might be reduced in the short term by the actions necessary to reduce emissions of green-house gases and you are solely focused on short-term profits and therefore want to undermine that scientific consensus, how would you do that? Well, you could try bribery.

Scientists and economists have been offered $10,000 each by a lobby group funded by one of the world's largest oil companies to undermine a major climate change report due to be published today.
Letters sent by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), an ExxonMobil-funded thinktank with close links to the Bush administration, offered the payments for articles that emphasise the shortcomings of a report from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

I deleted your comment because of the insults, name-calling and because you obviously posted it to the wrong blog. You must have been responding to a blog in which the author stated that it was his personal opinion (and the reader should accept his opinion simply because he said so) that human activity is causing the current rise in global temperature. This blog must have also said something like natural processes have never caused global temperatures to rise or something (I am just guessing here at a context in which your remarks about volcanos would make sense.) I suggest you find that blog that you were responding to and post a similar comment to the one you posted here only without the insults and name-calling.
