Christianized Health Care
Michael Moore was on Oprah today. One point he made that I thought was particularly apt was that the term Socialized Medicine as the name for the idea that everyone should have health care was inaccurate. The term Socialized Medicine implies that it is a recent idea thought up by socialists. In fact, as Michael pointed out, all the major religions have said for over a thousand years that it is our religious duty to heal the sick. Jesus said that we will be judged by whether we have fed the hungry, healed the sick and housed the homeless. A health care system that covers and treats everyone is more accurately called Christianized Health Care.

I do agree that we need to do something about healthcare. I just don't think Hillary has the right answer. You can't just mandate health insurance like car insurance. Driving is a privilige, living is a right. Because of my health conditions and my kids conditions, health insurance would cost me $2,000+ per month. There is no way I can afford that. It is impossible. I will give her credit though. At least she has recognized the problem and that is more than the rest of them.
Huh?
All the Democratic candidates have offered health care proposals, not just Hillary.
Democrats are at a disadvantage due to our concern for the feelings and rights of our fellow citizens who do not have a Christian heritage. If only we could name our health care program "Christianized Medicine," we would point out the hypocrisies of those selfish people who call themselves the "Christian Right"
