Unusual Lamppost

Here is an unusual lamppost near my house in Moline. You cannot see it in the picture but besides holding a lamp it also serves as an address placard. Who can tell me what address is written on this dead tree?

Gee, Dave, I must be getting old....

It took me all day to see what's so "unusual" about this lamppost.

Hey Dave, enough of this. What's your take on Hare vs Boland vs Sullivan?

I have known Phil Hare for more than 18 years and respect his intelligence and integrety, but I have only known him as a supporter of Lane Evans rather than someone with his own political positions. Before I would endorse or vote for him I would need to find out how he stands on a number of issues I care deeply about.
I know very little about Sullivan and would need to know much more about him before I could decide. I have a great deal of respect for Mike Boland but I could not say whether I will still like him best after I have learned more about the other candidates.
I don't agree with the newspaper pundits that say the Democrats should quickly agree on a candidate and make a public show of unity. I think the people of the 17th District should see a process of 400 precinct committeement hearing from all the candidates and making up their minds in a democratic and open process. The voters should have the imprssion of the eventual Democratic candidate having emerged as choice of a broad range of Democrats rather than being picked by party bosses in a smoke-filled room.

That's my opinion. After all, I believe in democracy. I am not looking for a leader to tell me what I should believe and who I should support.
